Dervaig is conveniently situated between Tobermory and Calgary Bay (on the bus route).
We are a minute’s walk from the oldest Inn on Mull, The Bellachroy Hotel, two minutes from Dervaig Stores shop/post office, and a couple of minutes from the stunning shores of Loch Chumhainn (Cuin) and our beautiful Church with its distinctive Irish pencil tower. A short walk from the village is the Old Byre Heritage Centre, a couple of miles toward Croig is Am Birlinn a purpose-built restaurant offering an array of local fare.
Port na Ba, Langamull, Calgary Bay, and Traigh na Cille (Kilninian) are just some of the beaches relatively close by. We have many stunning walks from the village including Quinish Point/standing stones and the Glengorm loop. Ben More ‘the last island munro’ is a forty-minute drive away. We are ideally situated to easily join boat trips to Staffa and Lunga from either Tobermory or Ulva Ferry.
The Village Hall has an outdoor pitch and an indoor court. Guests are welcome to use the pitch and join in with the various activities in the hall including badminton, Scottish dancing, and fitness groups.
Occasionally we host musical events and theatrical performances.
